The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) and the Arab American University (AAUP) are eager to celebrate World Statistics Day in a way that bring greater attention to data science.
The celebration will be under the auspices of His Excellency Dr. Shtayyeh – The Prime Minister, and with the participation of key national and international figures namely Mr. Juraj Riecan – the Director of ESCWA’s Statistics Division, Mr. Ammar Aker Chief Executive Officer at Palestine Telecommunications (Paltel) Group, Mr. Sam Bahour Businessman and entrepreneur, Dr. Tom Smith Managing Director at Data Science Campus of UK Statistics and Dr. Faisal Awartani CEO at Alpha International. The festival will showcase top notch data scientists who bring real life examples to stage including Dr. Eyad Elyan, Dr. Amjad Abu-Rmileh, Mr. Samer Aamar and Mr. Yu Tian.
The celebration is also flavored with hi-tech trends where Mr. Sander Duivestein – Trend watcher & influencer – will show the power of technologies and data that have impacted people, businesses and society.
